Customer Experience & UI/UX Design
Customers judge your product in seconds, and a confusing screen costs more than a missing feature. Five Frogs designs intuitive, accessible web and mobile experiences that put your users at the center of every interaction, then works with engineers to build them exactly as designed.
What we design
We combine user research, thoughtful design and modern interface principles to build journeys that are easy to learn and pleasant to use. Good design improves usability, accessibility and customer satisfaction, and it shows up in the numbers that matter to you: sign-ups, conversions and fewer support calls.
- Customer journeys for new products and for redesigns of existing ones.
- Responsive web interfaces that work equally well on desktop, tablet and phone.
- Mobile app experiences for iOS and Android, including cross-platform apps.
- Design systems: reusable components, typography and colour rules that keep every screen consistent.
- Accessibility reviews, so more people can use your product and it meets common accessibility expectations.
Our design process
Design decisions are cheaper on paper than in code, so we test ideas early and often. Every stage produces something your team and your users can react to.
- Research: we learn how your users work today, what frustrates them and what success looks like for your business.
- Wireframes: low-fidelity layouts that settle structure and flow before any visual design.
- Prototypes: clickable designs in tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or Framer, tested with real users where possible.
- Visual design: polished interfaces and a design system that engineers can build from directly.
- Build support: designers stay involved during development, reviewing screens and refining details as the product takes shape.
Design and engineering in one team
Handing designs over a wall is where many projects lose quality. Our designers and front-end engineers work in the same squad, using the same components, so what ships matches what was designed. Our front-end engineers build with React, Vue, Angular, Bootstrap and Tailwind CSS.
Because the same team designs and builds, changes are fast. When usage data shows a step that confuses users, we can redesign it, build it and release it in the next cycle rather than starting a new project.
What good design changes
Design isn't decoration. A clearer journey means fewer abandoned sign-ups and checkouts, fewer support tickets and faster onboarding for new users. For internal systems, it means staff spend less time fighting the software and more time on their work.
We agree up front which measures matter to you, such as conversion, task completion time or support volume, so every design decision can be judged by its effect on your business.
Engagement models
Pick the model that fits your budget, timeline and how much you want to manage day to day. You can start with one and move to another as the work changes.
- Staff augmentation: individual engineers join your team, work in your tools and ceremonies, and report to your leads.
- Dedicated team: a stable squad that we build around your roadmap, with a Five Frogs lead responsible for delivery and quality.
- Fixed-scope project: an agreed scope, timeline and price for well-defined work such as a module, migration or MVP.
